I am Peri-Khan "PX", a dedicated advocate for sustainable development, climate action, and the circular economy, balancing a dynamic career in international development with my role as a full-time mother. With over 20 years of work experience ranging from public sector roles, such as the United Nations to positions in the private sector, including energy companies, my academic training in Economics and Business Administration from the University of Bonn and a Master's in Advanced International Studies from the Diplomatic Academy in Vienna has shaped my understanding of the necessity for interdisciplinary approaches to address global challenges such as climate change, lack of good governance, humanitarian issues, underfunded educational sectors, and the undermining of thriving and active democratic civil societies.

As a 2018 Fellow of the Payne Institute for Public Policy, I have collaborated with global experts across policy, energy, security and environmental sectors, contributing significantly to initiatives like the UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon's Sustainable Energy for All, which has shaped the UN Sustainable Development Goals.

My recent studies in climate action and circular economy further enhance my ability to address complex development challenges with innovative solutions, particularly in AI. My significant experience in crisis management was honed as the former Director of Information Management and Data Exchange at Kurdistan and Iraq’s first Joint Crisis Coordination Centre.

Beyond my professional pursuits, I am an active participant in civil society, leading educational initiatives and serving as a board member for The Lotus Flower. Over the past two years, I have authored three children's books in German, Kurdish, and English, distributed to hundreds of students in rural regions of Kurdistan through an educational initiative led by the Green Kids charity. Inspired by my children, these books contribute to the literary education of underserved and discriminated communities.

Growing up multilingual and stateless until the age of 12, I have lived on different continents and amidst diverse cultures. These experiences have not only taught me the invaluable skill of bridging many worlds but also sharpened my ability to navigate the complexities of international affairs and advocate for sustainable development policies not only in the Middle East but beyond.

Let’s connect and collaborate to drive meaningful change in sustainable development, climate action, and education.
